I love to be in the kitchen almost as much as I love to write...

I've wanted to use this blog to satisfy souls and spread the words of Jesus to others with honesty and candidness. I also intended to satisfy your tummies as well. So, every now and then I'll post a recipe on here, and pictures too (if I've remembered to take one).

So, recipe #1 is something that I plan to bring to our Easter gathering this weekend. The ingredients seemed like a strange combination at first, but when it tried it, it was Mmmmmmm...

Green Bean Casserole

5 cups hot, cooked green beans
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup cream cheese
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1/8 tsp pepper
3/4 cup hickory sticks
1/2 cup sliced almonds

Place green beans in shallow baking dish. In small bowl, combine soup, cream cheese, soy sauce and pepper. Stir gently into beans.

Sprinkle mixture of hickory sticks and almonds over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 5 minutes.
